Success with Sympathetic Hands
Whether one is working on the paces, the half halt or the seat and effectiveness of the rider, dressage must always be seen as multi-dimensional and never merely as the performance of a specific set of movements.
Klaus Balkenhol became a police squad officer and, after having been brought up on a farm, horses again became his working partners. With the police horse Rabauke he entered into the world of Grand Prix Dressage. Klaus Balkenhol has trained dozens of horses to the highest level, and with his service horse, Goldstream, was at the top in world rankings for years, including two team gold medals in both the 1992 and 1996 Olympics Games.
